My Thailand Experience
A few words about my dream vacation in Thailand...

What a great experience! :) Thailand is the leading vacation hot spot in Southeast Asia, and such title is well deserved. With vast opportunities: rich culture, wonderful food, beautiful beaches and really so much to see and do, all tucked in a tropical climate - Thailand allures visitors all around the world.

During your vacation in Thailand, you can experience everything: wild, lively jungle, clear blue water that feels like a pleasant hot bubble bath and most amazing food. Thailand is wild, yet safe, for every budget, yet prepared with every luxury you may need, there is something for everyone here, from young backpacker seeking for an adventure, to some of the most prestigious hotels in the world for those who are well off.

What to See

The Grand Palace in Bangkok is one of the must-sees. Bangkok is also a home to Wat Phra Kaew, the well-known Buddhist temple that houses the wonderful Emerald Buddha statue. The other historical and cultural attractions include Wat Pho, Wat Arun and Jim Thompson's House, but there's a lot more Bangkok and Thailand have to offer.

Thailand has its own beautiful tropical forest. Khao Yai National Park, that is is very close to Bangkok, is the first national park of Thailand.
You can see quite a lot of wildlife out there. Khao Sok National Park can give you even more thrill, and there's a great option to spend a night in the jungle. Waterfalls are another great thing, there's a lot of them all over Thailand, and you shouldn't miss to visit them. I've visited the Erawan Falls in Kanchanaburi, and I don't regret that sightseeing tour, on the contrary.

To be honest, I came to Thailand for its stunning beaches and islands. :) And for a good reason - these islands and beaches had been magnet for millions of travelers the world over, Pattaya, Phuket and Ko Samui are the most charming ones and the most developed beach resorts in Thailand. Krabi Province is also the one you should see. But there are also Ao Nang, Rai Leh and Ko Lanta, each with something special to offer. After all, whatever you choose, you can't be disappointed.

What to Do

There's certainly a lot to do around here, but if you desperately seek for a relaxation, I must recommend you visit a spa and a traditional Thai massage.

If you're outdoorsy you'll enjoy countless sports, golf being just one of many at your disposal. I just loved scuba diving at Similan Islands, along the great reefs, rich underwater life, with amazing beaches left behind. And Thong National Marine Park near Ko Samui and Ko Lipe island are also nice places to visit if you like diving as I do.

And you could also be snorkeling, rock climbing, trekking, surfing, canoeing, liveaboard diving, attend dinner cruises, go shopping at the countless markets and malls... The list goes on and on.

Food

Thai food is good enough reason for some to visit this country. It ranges from really cheap fried noodles you can by at a street stall, to a classy ten-course meal at one of the Bangkok's five star hotels. Their cuisine is characterized by the strong sour flavors, with a spicy note, which gives Thai food its recognizable distinctive taste.

Although tap water is fine in most Bangkok areas, it's not drinkable outside of Bangkok. Nevertheless, to avoid any risk, I would recommend buying a bottle of water.

People

Thais are very polite and remarkably tolerant of foreigners. You'll get even more respect from them if you treat them, their customs and culture, and especially their Royal Family with respect.

Accommodation

Thailand gives you a handful of accommodation in wide price range. The best prices for accommodation can be found during Thailand's low season, which is during May - August.

I stayed in a moderate hotel room. It's somewhat more expensive than a guesthouse accommodation, but you get your own private bathroom. I had a TV and Internet access available, and it was air-conditioned. Altogether I was quite happy with it.

My Conclusion

So, I have nothing more to add, really, I enjoyed it so much and I can only sincerely recommend you Thailand as the ultimate travel destination! :)
